Rufus Manning is a passionate and dedicated soccer coach with experience developing youth players at the national, regional, and grassroots levels. A lifelong student of the game, he spent the past 3 years earning his U.S. Soccer Federation National D, C and recently his B Licenses.
In addition to his on-field expertise, Rufus has a strong foundation in team management, performance analytics, and modern coaching technologies. He is known for fostering a positive, challenging environment that encourages athletes to compete with intelligence, confidence, and respect for the game.
Before joining VA Revolution, Rufus coached with St. James FC, Northern Virginia Alliance (NVA), Virginia Valor FC, and in local VSA and NVSC grassroots programs. His teams have competed successfully in ECNL, Girls Academy, USL Youth, and NCSL, achieving division titles, playoff berths and numerous tournament titles.
A graduate of N.C. State University, Rufus lives in Prince William County with his wife Melissa, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and is a proud father of three college students.

Little known fact: Before coaching, I was in Tech PR and launched Tom Clany’s Rainbow Six game which was inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame.
