VA Revolution Soccer Club Appoints Karl Sharman as President

VA Revolution Soccer Club is proud to announce the appointment of Karl Sharman as President. Karl brings extensive leadership experience along with a deep commitment to advancing the mission, values, and community that define VA Revolution.

Karl has been with the organization for the last 2.5 years and has demonstrated to the ownership team that he is more than qualified to lead VA Revolution and Loudoun United through its next phase of growth. He will also serve as President of Loudoun United FC, further strengthening the connection between the two organizations and expanding opportunities for players and families across the region.

VA Revolution Soccer Club is built on a foundation of belonging, support, and excellence. Every player, parent, and staff member plays an important role in shaping the club’s future. Under Karl’s leadership, VA Revolution will continue to provide world-class development opportunities, a clear pathway for players at every level, and a welcoming environment where every family feels at home.

Sharman is a sports and talent management professional with a background in both football (soccer) and venture capital. He most recently served as Head of Talent at Forgepoint Capital, where he focused on people management and scaling teams for startups. In football, Sharman held roles at leading English clubs including Chelsea FC, Southampton FC, and Crystal Palace FC, as well as Cambridge United, Brighton & Hove Albion, and AFC Wimbledon. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the DC Chapter of the US Soccer Foundation.
