GIRLS PATHWAY

About The Girls Academy

VA Revolution is a proud member of the Girls Academy (GA). VRSC has formed teams at the U13-U19 age groups to compete in the GA.

The Girls Academy is the leading youth development platform for the best female soccer players in the United States. They are the only national youth soccer platform that represents the collective vision of member clubs and actively engages the voice of the players to take real ownership of the league. They embrace the desire of club members and players to maintain an unrivaled standard of excellence in coaching, competition, and regional and national showcase events throughout the year.

League Play

The member clubs are split into nine conferences that make up the national footprint. League play begins in August and culminates with the playoffs and national finals events in June and July. Additionally, qualifying teams compete in a separate, aspirational platform created to add additional quality competition for the most competitive clubs in the GA.

About ID Sessions:

We’ve transitioned to a European-style model focused on consistent and thorough evaluation:

  • Multiple Evaluators: Players are assessed by several evaluators for a balanced perspective.
  • Ongoing Identification: Evaluations take place over multiple sessions to provide a comprehensive view of each player.
  • Development Focused: Emphasis is placed on player growth over time rather than one-time performances.
  • Comprehensive Assessment: Players are evaluated over several sessions to account for factors like nerves, off days, or injuries.

This model aims to identify players who align with long-term development goals.
