Leesburg, VA — VA Revolution is proud to congratulate Loudoun County native Ryan Conner on signing an Academy Contract with Loudoun United FC.

A Virginia Academy student-athlete and VA Revolution goalkeeper, Conner has earned this opportunity through years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to his development. His signing marks a significant milestone for both the player and the continued growth of the development pathway available to talented young athletes throughout Loudoun County.

Known for his shot-stopping ability, composure, and command of his box, Conner has established himself as one of the region’s top young goalkeepers. Throughout his development, he has consistently embraced opportunities to challenge himself against high-level competition while continuing to grow both on and off the field.

“Ryan’s signing is a proud moment not only for him and his family, but for everyone who has played a part in his journey,” said Haris Memisevic, Boys Technical Director at VA Revolution. “What makes this achievement special isn’t just that he’s signed a professional contract; it’s the years of consistent work, humility, and commitment to improving every single day that got him here. Ryan has earned every opportunity through his mentality and willingness to embrace the process.”

Conner’s journey reflects years of commitment to his craft. He began his high school career at Loudoun County High School, playing goalkeeper during his freshman and sophomore seasons and helping the program to back-to-back divisional and regional championships in 2024 and 2025. After transferring to Virginia Academy, he earned Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II All-State Second Team honors in 2025, and helped Virginia Academy capture the NACA Spring Championship in 2026.

At the club level, Conner continued to develop with VA Revolution’s MLS NEXT U19 team, where he has been part of teams that won the 2023 Revolution Cup and 2024 Capital Fall Classic, reached the 2024 Revolution Cup Final, and finished first in their bracket at the 2025 Jefferson Cup.

His performances and commitment to continual improvement ultimately earned opportunities within Loudoun United’s professional environment, leading to this next step in his soccer career.

The impact of Conner’s achievement extends beyond his own success and provides an example for the next generation of players within the club.

“We hope his journey inspires every young player in our club to understand that development isn’t about shortcuts; it’s about showing up every day, trusting the process, and maximizing every opportunity in front of you,” continued Memisevic. “We couldn’t be happier for Ryan and look forward to watching the next chapter of his career with Loudoun United.”

Conner’s signing serves as a powerful example of what can be achieved through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to long-term development. As a Loudoun County native, his journey to the professional game demonstrates the opportunities available to local players and reinforces VA Revolution’s commitment to helping athletes reach their highest potential.

Everyone at VA Revolution congratulates Ryan and his family on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to following his continued success with Loudoun United FC.
